Without Malik’s nod, foreigners can’t visit ministry
Adviser to the prime minister on interior affairs Rehman Malik has issued directives to the interior minister to ensure that no foreigners -- either diplomats, delegations or individuals -- are allowed to visit the ministry and its attached departments without his prior approval.
In this regard, the letter titled “Minister’s Directive” and signed by the director general of the National Crisis Management Cell (NCMC) Brig (retd) Javed Iqbal Lodhi particularly mentions the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and the Directorate of Immigration and Passport as out of bounds to foreigners.
The contents of the letter available with The Express Tribune states: “The adviser to the prime minister on interior affairs has directed that no diplomat or foreigner, either an individual or a delegation, shall visit the ministry or its attached departments without prior approval of the advisor to the PM on interior affairs”.

Does that mean Rehman Malik Sb will have to take permission from himself before visiting the interior ministry
What is the point in it when Dual Nationals are going to hold Office of a Prime Minister and President in future in Pakistan with the amendment proposed by PPP and by MQM then what is wrong if some foreign national visit Defense Ministry.??
Could he really refuse any "diplomats" from his second country of nationality?
He has after all taken a sworn oath to protect it's interests over all others.....
i cant stop my laugh at this point. Malik's senatorship has been suspended as he holds UKs nationality. isnt he a foreigner ?? Oh my GOD, what a country.....

I had always heard from reliable people that the CIA individuals used to have un-accountable access into our ministry facilities.
There was even a time when they could just rush into any room and review or take any document.
So I hope this is a move to prevent such bullied policing of super powers in our weakling country ...

What is the name of Pakistan's Interior Minister?
What? Seems like he has never been to the passport section of interior ministry (don't know the name of the department). It is always full of foreigners to get their passport issues resolved. Will he now approve the permission of every individual foreigner entering that office?
