Squash: Asghar wins U14 event

PESHAWAR: Asghar Khan beat Junaid Khan 3-2 in a thrilling match to clinch the U14 summer talent hunt squash tournament at Hasham Khan Complex yesterday. In a close contest, Asghar displayed a good show to clinch the deciding set. In the U9 final Noor Zaman beat Hammad 3-1 while Hamza Sharif thrashed Uzain Shaukat 3-2 in the U11 category. In the U13 final, Zeeshan Gul defeated Abbas Zeb 3-1. “The final match was very tough but I practised hard for the final,” Zeeshan Gul told The Express Tribune. The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Squash Federation will start a camp from today where the top players of this tournament will be given training by Jansher Khan, Qamar Zaman and Aamir Atlas.
