Botched kidnapping: Four men killed in shootout

FC and BC convoys were on patrol, when the kidnappers, holding two victims, saw them and opened fire.

QUETTA: Four people, including two alleged kidnappers, were killed in an exchange of fire between Frontier Constabulary (FC), Balochistan Levies (BC) forces and kidnappers in the Wah Dolsi area of Bolan on Tuesday.

According to the Assistant Commissioner Dhadar Mir Iftikhar Bugti, the FC and BC convoys were on patrol, when the kidnappers, holding two victims, saw them and opened fire. The security personnel returned fire.

Resultantly four people, including two kidnappers and the two kidnapped men were killed on the spot. Security forces rushed to the spot immediately and cordoned off the area.

The deceased were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital Sibi, for autopsy where the deceased were identified as Gulam Mustafa, Haji Mohammad Umer and Mohammad Umer Durs. The fourth victim remained unidentified.
