RAWALPINDI:
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) obtained warrants from a court of law to search the house of Ali Musa Gilani, son of former premier Yousaf Raza Gilani who is allegedly involved in the infamous ephedrine case.
ANF Deputy Director Abid Zulfiqar submitted an application to the court of Magistrate Shafqatullah Khan seeking permission to search Ali Musa’s house. The magistrate granted the permission.
The ANF has already obtained warrants for the arrest of Ali Musa, the Pakistan People Party MNA from Multan, in the case of an illegal allocation of a quota for ephedrine, a controlled substance, first for export and then for the conversion of the quota for local consumption.
Ali Musa is accused of pressuring officials of the federal health ministry in 2010 for the allocation of the export quota for ephedrine to two pharmaceutical companies, one from Islamabad and one from Multan.
