KARACHI: The City School reached the final of the first round of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Women’s Inter-Club Championship Karachi league matches by defeating Fatimah Jinnah FC 2-0. They will now play Diya FC to decide who goes into the second round. Earlier Diya FC were given a walkover as Star FC failed to show up for the match. The remaining matches of the round in Islamabad, Bahawalpur and Lahore will take place tomorrow, with the second round beginning next month. A PFF official said the break was to prolong the season. “Usually the women’s season lasts for two months, which was not enough, so we increased the period to four months to keep the footballers in practice,” the official told The Express Tribune.
