Blast near IT university in Quetta kills 5, injures 69
The bomb was planted inside a car parked nearby.
The blast occurred when a van carrying students to the university reached the campus.
According to Bomb Disposal Squad, about 40kg explosives were used in the remote-controlled bomb, planted inside a car which was parked nearby.
Four police officials were also injured as a police mobile passed by.
Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Quetta Mir Zubair said that the university bus was targeted in the attack. “The bomb targeted the bus as it carried a majority of Shia students,” he added.
The injured were moved to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) and Civil Hospital.
Police cordoned off Jinnah Town – a residential area in Quetta. The roadside blast left a 3-foot crater on the road.
Among the deceased, there were three students and one passerby.
Police and security teams have reached the site and an investigative operation is underway. Balochistan Home Minister Zafarullah Zehri also reached the blast site.
A rickshaw parked nearby was completely destroyed in the blast, while the buildings nearby received damages.

Question: Why all this pressure on the Shias in Pakistan? Answer: Because after the 1970-80 Revolution, Tehran has refused to be an ally & partner of Islamabad to crush the Balochs.
@US Centcom: if you people are so much against terrorism as we are, then why is this that your NATO and DRONES kills our innocent and priceless soldiers but you still refuses to apologize, even though you know that what happened was wrong and your state is guilty for the loss. Isn't this extremism and terrorism or should i call it, so called "pride of white superpowers"? You CAN do many thing:. You can speak up for the oppressed minorities instead of using Kashmir and Palestine as a justification for oppressing your own citizens. Stop oppressing Hindu, Sikhs, Ahmadis and lately Shias. Stop hate speeches in madrassas and also publicly. Stop lionizing the DPC thugs who spread divisiveness and hate. Start scrutinizing funding from KSA.
No one else in entire Islamic history had damaged Islam as these fanatics did during the past few decades. Once the symbol of peace and love has now becoming symbol of violence and hatred due to handful of puppets whose strings are controlled by their Godfathers. We do not need CIA, MOSAD, RAW or so on to carry out espionage or subversive activities when we have enemies like LeJ within our ranks. Hope a day will come when these killers ,there infrastructure are wiped out from there roots.Every one knows who they are and which school of thought they belong to . That school of thought should be held responsible.Its responsibility of Top Aalim e Din of that school of thought to stop them and if it still continues .Arrest those mullahs.Curb down the channels from which these crimes are financed.Name the mullah, the mosques,the madarssa and the Financer in Public.
