Akram Rahi: Consolidation of cases recommended

Rahi seeking registeration of an FIR for failing to transfer in his name property for which he has made full payment.

LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Malik Mushtaq Elahi Bingi on Tuesday sent a reference to District and Sessions Judge Mujahid Mustaqeem Ahmad recommending the consolidation of the various cases filed by Akram Rahi, a folk singer. The judge was hearing a petition filed by Rahi seeking registeration of an FIR against four men and a woman for failing to transfer in his name property for which he has made full payment. The counsel for the accused said on Tuesday that another petition in the matter was being heard in Additional District and Sessions Judge Rai Muhammad Ayub Khan Marth’s court. He requested that both cases be heard together.
