Manhandling of SBBU staff: Teachers want police to be accountable

Council demanded the immediate suspension of the police officials involved in the incident.

SUKKUR: The Shah Abdul Latif University executive council condemned the police’s alleged highhanded tactics against 13 faculty members of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University (SBBU) on Saturday, and declared the arrest of the teachers a “shameful act.” The council demanded the immediate suspension of the police officials involved in the incident. Shah Abdul Latif University Teachers Association (SALUTS) press secretary Ishrat Ali Mirani demanded in a statement issued on Monday that police release the faculty and staff members.
