KARACHI:
Former information minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon, has alleged that Nawaz Sharif is trying in vain to conquer Sindh by including land mafia members like Mumtaz Bhutto and Liaquat Ali Jatoi in the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).
“Mumtaz and Jatoi are the biggest land mafias of Sindh,” he said. “A lot of forest land has been freed from under Jatoi and the rest will also be taken back.”
Memon was talking to the newsmen at the office of Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ) on Monday. The secretary-general of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists, Amin Yousuf and the MPA Imdad Pitafi was also present.
“Nawaz does use electricity shortage to his advantage in politics, but he abandoned the Thar Coal project himself,” he said. “If Thar project had been completed then Pakistan would have been able to export electricity by this time.”
Memon said that everyone knows what kind of development was going on in Punjab. “Only Lahore was being developed while Hamza Shabaz had become a de-facto chief minister.”
While replying to a question about the disqualification of federal minister Rehman Malik from the Senate by the Supreme Court, Memon said that only Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) members were being tried.

Sir! You are extremely generalizing & over-simplifying a complicated with lots of twist & turns chain of historical events . A speech loaded with wish-full thinking may work well during a road rally on an emotionally charged mob before stone throwing & vandalism begins but not on the educated class or school or college students.
The shame language is being used by ex-minister of PPP and as he is sidelined post Zulfiquar Mirza episode, he wants to win back support in Zardari circle, that's why he is using all his energies to blame Mumtaz Bhutto, Sindhi nationalists and PMLN. He can go to any length as his goal is to appease Zardari and co. PPP's days are numbered, If as per SC orders, new voter lists will be made, delimitations of constituencies will be done, and free n fair election will be held, MQM-PPP will be looser. Let's all support delimitation of constituencies and fair elections because Mushraf re-arranged Urban Sindh to give benefit MQM, while now PPP are doing the same in rural Sindh. Free and fair election will bring PPP-MQM to their ultimate demise, one does politics on violence and hate and other does for corruption.
@Ajamal: Liaquat Jatoi was NOT the founding member of the PPP, that was Mr. Ghulam Mustafa Jataoi (Late), and Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto was the person to come up with the name Pakistan People's Party! :)
Both Jatoi and Mumtaz (Bhutto) were founding members of PPP and right hand men of ZA Bhutto. Did they learn this art courtesy PPP??
Did this information about mumtaz bhutto and liaquat jatoi dawned on you only when they joined the nawaz league? If this is fact then why you were silent eversince ppp came into power about four years ago. No one is going to believe your highly politicised allegation against these two leaders.
If Nawaz had not cancelled the Thar project we would have been exporting electricity!!!!! IF you had restarted the Thar project or any other project of that sort in the last 4 years then Pakistan would have been exporting electricity by now too!!! What was stopping you?
Conquer ??? Sindh is already Pakistan. Any political party has the right to go anywhere within our map.
The more they become offended..........the more they feel threatened.........their whinning and crying gets louder.
One thing I dont understand..if all the people aligning themselves with PMLN in sindh are bad, corrupt, land grabbers........etc etc. as portrayed by PPP and all with them are so angels.......then why is all this commotion........isnt it good for PPP and PTI for that matter.
