Trainer aircraft crash: PAF compensates house owners

Air Vice Marshal Syed Hasan Raza handed over cheques of Rs425,000 Zafar and Rs350,000

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on Tuesday distributed cheques to compensate the house owners who incurred damages by the crash of two trainer aircraft in Rashakae, Mardan, according to a press release issued by PAF. On the directive of Chief of the Air Staff Tahir Rafique Butt, Air Vice Marshal Syed Hasan Raza handed over cheques of Rs425,000 Zafar and Rs350,000 to Niaz, against the damages caused to their houses by the crashing aircrafts on May 17. The statement read the as the Board of Inquiry will take some time to complete investigations, the Air Chief had directed to pay 50 per cent compensation to the affected people from PAF’s non-public funds. The remaining amount will be disbursed after final inquiry report is approved by the government.
