Speaking to senior journalists in Islamabad, Kaira said that the appeal consists of 147 objections, and added that there is a difference in opinion among party members on whether it should be filed or not. But, he added, the final decision will be taken by tomorrow (Saturday).
Saturday is the last day for Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani to file an appeal against the Supreme Court verdict. The apex court had found Gilani in contempt of court on April 26, 2012 for refusing to write a letter to Swiss authorities in order to reopen corruption cases against the president.
On Thursday, two days before the possible expiry of a 30-day deadline to decide on the fate of the prime minister, the National Assembly speaker dismissed bids to disqualify Gilani.

If the appeal against the SC verdict is not filed by the end of due time (Saturdy, May 26, 2012), the Supreme Court should formally announce that based on such and such parts of the Constitution Gilani's membership of the parliament is null and void. The PSC also should issue a notice of contempt of court to the speaker.
This case is decided by the supreme body's elected speaker. There is no appeal against her decision in the constitution, her decision is final. Why waste the SC's valuable time. They have to work on other political cases before their term ends.
