Attock rally: Nawaz accuses govt of corruption

ATTOCK:

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has said that the present government is totally corrupt and is destabilising Pakistan.

“None among the present rulers in the federal government is sincere to the nation. Therefore, this government must resign without delay so that a new government could be formed for a better and prosperous Pakistan,” he said while addressing a gathering at Lala Zar Stadium Attock.

He said the policies of the government have brought the whole nation to the point of complete destruction. He promised to steer the nation out of troubled waters.

Nawaz said only PML-N is truly a public party that represents the whole nation and only it can bring radical changes in Pakistan.

“President Zardari and Prime Minister Gilani are visiting different rich countries with a begging bowl against the dignity of our country,” he said.

“President Zardari went to Chicago Summit not as an invitee to the party, rather the Nato members summoned him like a servant and ordered him to reopen the supply route,” Nawaz said.

Safdar | 12 years ago | Reply Look at the national debt record and you will notice that during 1990s, Pakistan’s debt increased at a significant rate (specially after 1995) because of failure of both PPP and PMLN…it is true that Musharraf was wrong in a lot of his policies, but you have to give credit to him where due…he was the one who pushed for re-scheduling and write-off on Pakistan’s loans post 2001 to create fiscal space for economic development…so let’s stop fooling the people and answer instead that how is PMLN going to play different for the umpteenth time.
