3kg Explosives Found: Bid to blow up rail track foiled

Police personnel, acting on a tip-off, reached Spezand area of Dasht and found a plastic bag full of explosives.

QUETTA: Police foiled a terror bid on Thursday and recovered 3 kilogram (kg) of explosive materials attached to a railway track in Dasht area of Mastung district.

Police personnel, acting on a tip-off, reached Spezand area of Dasht and found a suspicious-looking plastic bag along the railway track.

“It was an attempt to blow up the railway track,” official said.

A case has been registered and investigations are under way.
