LAHORE: The new resource centre at the Lahore Press Club was inaugurated on Thursday by Ted Gehr, the Acting US Consul General. It was funded by a $10,000 grant from the Consulate General’s Public Affairs Section. Gehr described the centre as a “special tribute to courageous journalists, bloggers, and citizens who have sacrificed their lives, health, or freedom so that others could know the truth.” The grant has been used to purchase computers, desks, books, and multi-media equipment.
