ABBOTABAD:

Following the passage of a resolution supporting the formation of a province in south Punjab, demands for Hazara province have intensified.

The activists of Tehrik-i-Suba Hazara and Hazara Qaumi Mahaz held a rally on Thursday against what they called “ignoring the demands of Hazara people.”

Carrying banners and placards, the activists marched on different roads to raise their voice against the “betrayal” by the Awani National Pary and the federal government.

“We are not against a separate province in south Punjab but ignoring our longstanding demand has created a sense of alienation among the people of Hazara,” said speakers while addressing the protesters.

They also demanded the MNAs and MPAs from Hazara to tender their resignations for failing to voice the concerns of their people in the assembly.
