Khalid Pathan | 12 years ago | Reply Peoples party had planned in advance to take advantage of the supreme court verdict in Gillanis case, regardless of its outcome. Had Gillani been exonerated in the contempt case, it would have been an outstanding victory for the peoples party. Had Gillani been convicted, they would play martyrdom and get the sympathy vote. Peoples party's vote Bank is almost intact, courtesy to linguistic politics played in Sindh, MQM for their survival are bound to support the PPP. South Punjab vote is for PPP, courtesy of a Seraiki province. The blame game going on has done extreme harm to Pakistan. What an unfortunate situation that those who have defrauded this country are hailed as our heroes.
