ISLAMABAD: Responding to allegations levelled by Capital Development Authority against Rescue 1122 Punjab for hampering the rescue and search operation at the site of the Bhoja airplane crash, the rescue service has appealed not to be dragged in “the blame game”. “Rescue 1122 officials should be allowed to do their work in a professional manner. The service has always come forward to save lives and rescue people in emergencies, and its workings are not relevant to the tussle between the Punjab and the federal government,” said a statement issued by Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi. The rescue service maintained that their vehicles and officials were first to reach the crash site. It added that lack of professionalism and understanding by other organisations, besides a large crowd of bystanders, hampered the pace of rescue work at the crash site.
