FAISALABAD: Hundreds of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) employees protested on Wednesday against the proposed privatisation of the utility.

Six rallies joined the main protest at the Fesco headquarters in Abdullahpur. Traffic remained suspended for the period of the protest.

The protestors marched to Zila Council Chowk and staged a sit-in in front of the local government secretariat.

They said that Fesco was serving people well by providing cheap electricity to its consumers through low line losses.
