Charity: 11,291 operations at eye camp

FAISALABAD: At the 72nd bi-annual free eye camp in Darul Hikmat Darul Shafa Hospital at Darul Ehsan Samundri Road as many as 11,291 operations. As many as 25,124 eye patients were examined at outdoor facilites. Eye Camp Chairman Lt Gen (r) Khalid Latif Mughal said that more than 80 eye specialists provided free services, these included 17 doctors provided from the health department. 500 paramedics assisted the doctors at the camp. The free eye camp was started in 1976 by Abu Anees Sufi Muhammad Barkat Ali Ludhianvi and is held regularly in the months of March and October.
