Gold And Copper Project: Minister quits Reko Diq panel

QUETTA: Balochistan Minister for Mines and Minerals Abdul Rehman Mengal announced on Tuesday that he is quitting his membership of the governing body of the Reko Diq copper and gold project. The project focuses on one of the biggest gold and copper reserves in the country, in Balochistan’s Chagai district. Talking to journalists after the Balochistan Assembly session, Mengal claimed the chairman of the governing body, renowned scientist Dr Samar Mubarak Mand, “appointed a managing director, three chief engineers and an accountant officer without approval from the governing body”.

is there a single Baloch and/or Pashtoon (from Balochistan) among the new appointed director, accountant and engineers? or are we being told that Balochistan has no brain?
