KARACHI: After five days of protests and rioting, life and business went back to normal in the Lyari area on Saturday, Express News reported.

The killing of three people on Sunday, including a leader of the Kacchi Raabta Committee brought Lyari to a standstill for five days. Since last night, however, the police and Rangers have taken control of the situation and are stationed in the affected areas for dealing with any situation.

Almost all shops in the Lyari area have started opening and the residents are taking sighs of relief after the measures taken by the police and Rangers, although according to them, permanent arrangements should be made for dealing with such issues.
