KARACHI:

Chairman SITE Association of Industry Muhammad Irfan Moton has thanked Nepra for promising the issuance of a restraining order to KESC.

Earlier, KESC had issued notices to consumers for the ‘under utilisation of sanctioned load’ and disconnected electricity supply to various industrial units.

Nepra authorities have said that they will pass an order directing KESC to halt disconnections, and restore supplies disconnected earlier within three days.

A hearing in this regard was held on Monday – largely attended by representatives of the business community upset with KESC’s decisions.

A delegation led by Irfan Moton held a meeting with Provincial Minister for Information and Electric Power Shazia Marri, in which senior officials of KESC were also present.
