Formula one: Massa still keen on podium finish

LONDON: Ferrari driver Felipe Massa is targeting a podium-finish for the Italians at the Australian Grand Prix despite technical director Pat Fry’s earlier statement downplaying the team’s chances of finishing in the top-three. Ferrari admitted there was still work to be done on their new car following pre-season testing, while Mercedes and Lotus appear to have made notable progress over the winter. However, Massa is not disheartened by developments ahead of the season’s first race on March 18. “The truth is we’ll only discover the situation in Australia when we’re all in the same conditions, with little fuel in the tank and the softest tyres on the car,” said Massa.
