The incidents caused 17 express trains, including non-stop business express trains, to halt for around four hours at different railway stations.
Thousands of the passengers going from Lahore to different cities in Sindh and Balochistan were forced to suffer delays as the damaged tracks' repair work took hours to complete.
Talking to PPI, Pakistan Railways spokesman Abdul Hameed Razi confirmed that 19 trains, including Pak Business Express, Hazara Express, Awam Express, Khyber Mail Express, Tezgam Express, Karachi Express, Fareed Express and Karakoram Express, had to be stopped at Hyderabad, Karachi, Nawabshah, Mirpur Mathelo, Deharki, Sadiqabad and Rahim Yar Khan railway stations.
He said that miscreants had blown up railway tracks at Bin Qasim in Karachi; Qasimabad and Latifabad in Hyderabad; Kotri, Nawabshah, Padidan, Khairpur and Ghotki early on Saturday morning.
“The incidents are still being investigated. But this delays many express passenger trains coming to and leaving from the upcountry by one to four hours,” the spokesman explained.
However, he maintained that all of the delayed trains left for their destinations soon after the repair work of the damaged tracks was completed.
Vigilance teams, along with the Bomb Disposal Squad, were deployed across railway tracks to prevent further incidents.

@Mehran ! You just spoke out my heart !
@Seema Shaikh: Dear where did you get the information from that Rana Sanaullah was behind Salman Taseer's murder? Mumtaz Qadri admitted killing the former governor in the name of Islam, didn't he?
Until the hegemony of Punjabi Establishment end, such actions of resistance will continue in smaller provinces. Pakistan is federation of four provinces and it is not colony of majority ethnic group. The solution lies in giving provinces their rights as per Pakistan resolution of 1940 which promises complete autonomy to each provinces and control over their land, resources and policies.
@Pakistani Hindu: I see the hand of our agencies, too, to destabilize the peace of Sindh. They failed to achieve from target killings in Karachi, now they are giving a try in interior. Dont forget Rana Sana allah and his religious terrorist, they killed Salman Taseer, and kidnapped his son and created unrest in Karachi to some extent.
@mohajir: well said, very much true,
Sind is next Balochistan?
@mohajir: Good. Keep fostering the dangerous conspiracy theories to hide the incompetence of our security agencies.
