Research project: Australian delegation visits UAF

Agricultural capability and pro-poor value chains would be focused in the second phase.

The University of Agriculture on Thursday hosted a reception for an Australian delegation on Thursday. The delegation included Dr John Spriggs, Prof Dr Barbara Chambers, Dr Sandra Mustafa and Dr Rob Fitzgerald.

They visited the campus to review an ongoing Baseline Survey on Social Impact on Agriculture project being carried out jointly by the UAF, Australian Agriculture Support Linkages Programme (ASLP2), Sindh Agriculture University and NARC. Dr John said ASLP was started to improve livelihoods in rural areas of Pakistan. He said agricultural capability and pro-poor value chains would be focused in the second phase. He said the research would help improve production.
