FAISALABAD:

The Federal Commerce Secretary Zafar Mahmood urged exporters to take full advantage of the EU concessional package while speaking to the Faisalabad Chambers of Commerce and Industry on Monday.

He termed the EU’s decision to grant Pakistan GSP Plus status through amendment of their Special Law as a watershed event, and claimed that it will be instrumental in boosting Pakistan’s market presence in the EU and fetching valuable foreign exchange.

He also shed light on the decision to grant the trading status of ‘most favoured nation’ to India, calling it beneficial for stake-holders from both the countries and consistent with theories of free trade.
