Busted: Two truckloads of timber seized

The trucks were released after the owners paid a fine of Rs600,000 to the forest department.

HARIPUR: Two trucks loaded with timber worth thousands of rupees were seized while two persons were arrested on Friday, said police. The trucks were released after the owners paid a fine of Rs600,000 to the forest department. On a tip-off, the police intercepted two trucks and recovered 222 logs of fine-quality timber.
