Ijaz visited the the Pakistan High Commission in London, where he was granted the visa.
Masoor Ijaz has to appear before a judicial commission investigating the memogate scandal on January 24. He is also due to appear before the Parliamentary committe investigating the same case on January 26.
Earlier, Ijaz had claimed that his life faced a threat in Pakistan. Upon this, the Supreme Court had issued directives that he could be allotted an army security detail.
On Thursday, the Islamabad High Court dismissed a petition calling for the arrest of Ijaz. It ruled that Ijaz could not be arrested till he violates any Pakistani law.

why cant we just have a video-in-camera statement/evidence/confession/ or whatever from Mansoor Ijaz?

We know he is being given due respect, but Its for the sake of Pakistan. let he come to the Pakistan and make it clear for the people whether the Memo-gate was real or not. If memo-gate is real then we should be award and reward and punish the culprits who have tried to sell our sovereignty.

He is the one who wrote the memo. If writing memo is a crime then how can he not be a criminal? If however writing memo is not a crime then what is all the fuss about? See the double standard?

Mansoor Ijaz is going to appear before court and will evidence whatever he got with him. He is not Pakistani national thats why he applied for visa. We need to understand few facts. He wrote articles outside Pakistan. Being foreign national and writing in foreing papers about Pakistan and Pak Army he is not liable to criminal prosecution but if he is volunteering to give evidence, his evidence will be considered. The involvement from our side is of HH who is Pakistani and a responsible person by representing country as an ambassador. Why he was involved and who consented him to do so let the court decide. If HH is truthful then i believe truth will previal but if he is liar then he will have his share of the pie.

Why should he be arrested? Because he is bringing to light the game of traitors? I think he is the hero, going out of the way to bring to justice the criminals and soul less creatures who rule the country and who have infiltrated the politics of the country!!!

@ Khawah, It was not government who asked him to come to Pakistan, it was memo Commission who ordered government to grant him visa and provide full security.

How the justice will be served? Mansoor Ijaz has himself admitted to being the main culprit who wrote and sent the actual memo and yet he is immune from prosecution. Where is the justice in this? Why do foreigners always get the better treatment, Raymond Davis and all?

The immigration authorities will be standby to put an arrival stamp on his blue passport.
Upon his arrival he will be surrounded by the commandos, the bullet proof and bomb proof cars will be waiting for him.
The police mobiles will also be made standby to escort his entourage.
Prior to his arrival at Chaklala Airport, US Secret Service Agents will arrive to inspect the tarmac and will give security clearance prior to the landing of special aircraft.
The call sign of the Mansoor Ejaz's aircraft for control tower will be ME-1.
On both sides of his aircraft there will be two flags waiving. One of the US and other one of Mansoor Ejaz personal flag.
People in Pakistan will come out in the chilled weather to see a glimpse of Mansoor Ejaz.
And those who will succeed in shaking hand with him would be wearing hand-gloves, to protect Mansoor Ejaz from bacteria.
Probably any one who will shake hand with Mansoor Ejaz, his or her hand will turned into a golden hand. WOW.
