Human Rights Violation: MNA blames ‘wadera’ culture, illiteracy

Wadera culture was behind the atrocities being committed on peasant, says MNA.

HYDERABAD: MNA Riaz Fatiana, chairman National Assembly’s standing committee on human rights, said on Tuesday that the ‘wadera culture’ and illiteracy were the main causes of human rights’ violation in Sindh. Addressing a press conference here along with PML-Q leader Chaudhry Mazharul Haq and PPP leaders Amanullah Siyal and others, he held 2-day sessions and heard many cases of human rights violation including death of seven prisoners in Hyderabad jail. Fatiana said they also reviewed the situation with regard to minorities and also examined the case of Halima Bhutto of Sukkur. He added that taking note of death of seven prisoners, the jail superintendent of Hyderabad, SSP Hyderabad and Deputy Commissioner have been called to Islamabad for explanation. He viewed that Wadera culture was behind the atrocities being committed on peasant especially the women in rural areas.
