Olympics: Zia draws support from SOA

Zia met Sindh Sports Minister Mohammad Ali Shah, who announced that his association will vote for him.

KARACHI: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) President Qasim Zia, who will be contesting the elections for the post of the Pakistan Olympics Association (POA) president, has drawn support from the Sindh Olympics Association (SOA) for his election campaign. Zia met Sindh Sports Minister and SOA President Mohammad Ali Shah, who announced that his association will vote for him. Zia said that if elected he will promote sports that have been neglected in the past. Polls for the post will be held next month, with Zia contesting against current president, General (retd) Arif Hasan.
