Addressing a gathering in Hub, Bhootani said that the people of Lasbela district had complained that HUBCO had adopted a discriminatory attitude by hiring outsiders instead of locals.
He told the gathering that he had raised this issue on several occasions with the concerned management officials but to no avail.
“The discriminatory attitude of the power plant's management has forced me to join the people in launching a protest campaign,” Bhootani said, adding that he will lead the people in this protest.
He said that the protest will continue until grievances of the locals were addressed by the company.

For some reasons companies in pakistan don,t speak it loudly but if you go into the detalis of this affair its the lucrative appointment of his family members that he is taking such stance.
Unfotrtunately this is the destiny of pakistan.Anyone with a vote bank can get anything he want.
now this bias that locals don't know and don't have the capacity is a mind set reflected in above comments. Get over your fancy ideas; please let people rule as the so called skilled and educated bureaucrats have been making a mess of Pakistan for too long. But the mindset is always worried about their own jobs and would never want the poor to get a chance.

it should be done on merit. kesc is already suffering due to so many parties workers employed resulting in a huge armay of inefficent workers same shouldnt be the case there

Who would want to invest in a place where you are forced not to hire on merit, but on some politicians demand. The political appointees will inherently be lazy and inefficient as they know that the management can not reprimand or fire them as those employees have political backing. The fear of Allah has vanished from most of our rulers, they never follow Allah's commands to be fair in their judgements.
