LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudary Nazeer Ahmed on Friday once again issued notice to the Race Course station house officer for a detailed report and para-wise comments till January 13 on a petition filed by Missal Khan seeking a copy of his kidnap-and-murder FIR against former chief minister Dost Muhammad Khosa.

On Friday, Khosa’s counsel Advocate Zubair Khalid submitted an application seeking adjournment of the case on the plea that similar cases were pending before Lahore High Court.

He told the court that police were hesitant to take action against Khosa because of his affiliation with the ruling party. He said he wanted to know if the police had even registered a case in the first place.

The judge had directed the SHO to appear before the court. However, an assistant sub-inspector appearing on behalf of the SHO on January 6, told the court that he (SHO) was not well. On Friday, the judge once again issued notice to the SHO, directing him to submit comments till January 13.

Petitioner Missal Khan says that the respondents, the CCPO, the IG and the SHO were required to provide him a copy of the FIR. He also requested the court to direct the SHO to register another case against Khosa for producing forged documents before the court to deny that he (the petitioner) was Sapna Khan’s father.
