PIA and Make a Wish Foundation Pakistan arranged air journey for five seriously ill children to fulfil their desire of becoming pilots and flying an aircraft.
Two children wearing PIA pilot’s uniform went on board a PIA flight as pilots from Karachi to Lahore while the other three, wanting to travel by an aeroplane, accompanied them.
PIA pilot in command made onboard announcement that the flight was of special importance as it had four pilots – two regular pilots and two children Muhammad Waseem Ali & Ansa Abul Sattar.
The other three children, Muhammad Dilshad, Sobia Siddiqui & Muhammad Hassan, travelled as passengers. The children were accompanied on board flight PK302 by Zareen Yousufzai, wife of PIA’s Managing Director.
A reception was arranged for the five children at Allama Iqbal Airport Lahore and they visited Minar-e-Pakistan and an educational show at the PIA Planetarium.

Lets hope gestures like this continue in the future as well. On a separate note, the PIA livery of the 80's (shown in the pic) was way better than what there is today. Similarly, PIA itself was better than what it is now.
Despite their failings such things should always be appreciated.
Nor PIA nor Railway are running into Losses due operation. They make Huge MONEY but lose much for PERKS like free tickets to employees, Parlimentarians, Elite, Foriegn trip not paid by PM, Prsdnt. Discounted ticket to various civil and miltary officials. If all this is stopped we can see Huge profits....
Awww well done PIA and Make a Wish Foundation.
Really very very good gesture by PIA. Appreciate it.
Very good gesture..that should be highly appreciated in the media.
PR stunt ... Fundamentals still point out PIA is bankrupt
