Football: Cole aims to play for England

LONDON: On-loan Lille midfielder Joe Cole has vowed to force his way back into Fabio Capello’s England plans before Euro 2012. Cole is spending the season with the French champions after falling out of favour with parent club Liverpool. But having played some eye-catching football in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League, Cole is hopeful he can do enough to persuade Capello to give him another chance.  “It’s at the back of my mind,” said Cole. “I still have a lot to offer the national team.”
