Veena Malik concedes to shooting 'topless' for FHM, but not 'nude'
In an interview with the British news channel BBC, Malik said that pictures of her fully naked which appeared on the December issue cover of the men’s magazine, FHM India were 'morphed' since during the shoot she was "topless and "covered" not "nude".
Malik has filed a suit against FHM India, claiming damages worth Rs100 million. FHM India has counter sued Malik for Rs250million over the controversial magazine cover that hit the stands in early December.

During the interview, Malik says "if you look at my shoot, I do admit that I have done a topless shoot."
Asked about why she agreed to the shoot, Malik said "I liked the idea of a bold shoot, but I did not do a nude shoot - that's why I am standing here today, because I have to prove it."
She explained "I won't allow anybody to remove my bikini or my shalwar (loose trousers) or my dupatta (scarf)." Malik said if anyone was going to remove her clothes, it would be her. "If I want to do it, I will do it myself. And if I do it, I will own it," she said.
Veena Malik has been mired in controversy in both India and Pakistan with regards to the shoot. One rendition of the cover has a nude Malik with an enlarged ISI (acronym for Inter Services Intelligence, Pakistan’s premier spy agency) tattoo on her left shoulder.
Veena had rejected nude shoot of her
Veena Malik’s PR Manager Sohail Rashid has said that there was no agreement or any exchange of payment between his client and FHM India. That he had been approached by a Dubai based advertising agency which wanted a bold and a nude shoot with Malik, he told The Express Tribune on Thursday.
“Sometime back, in early November 2011, Veena Malik was approached through me by a Dubai-based Advertising firm to do bold shoots for which they were willing to pay $60,000 and wanted it to be conducted before 14 December 2011, for the pictures to run worldwide on 1st January 2012.” Says Rashid, the same company soon offered another shoot, this time a nude. “Besides that they wanted to do a nude shoot of hers, and had I quoted $200,000, I am sure they would have paid it to her,” the PR manager claims. However, he says Malik rejected the offer “but she rejected the nude photo-shoot offer completely and said, ‘I don’t go for such a thing, Sohail.”
Asked about how the FHM India shoot came to be, Rashid asserted, “FHM India approached her and it happened through Vishaal Saxena, the photographer.” Saxena had earlier shot Veena Malik for Zoom TV, in October 2011, the manager explained. “When Saxena approached her for FHM India, she never said no, because you develop a comfort zone with someone, if you have worked with them before.”
Asked whether Veena Malik was paid for her FHM India shoot, Rashid seems confused, a little unaware, “there was no contract agreement between the two parties, i.e Veena Malik and FHM India hence, I don’t think so they paid her anything.”
Earlier on Wednesday, a case was filed against Veena Malik in the Islamabad High Court. Rashid said, “It was filed by a petitioner, yesterday and rejected, today on account that this was a case based in India and the pictures too had been published in India.”

There was a pun intended there. Blame missing punctuation but as strange as that may sound it were exactly her words that I copy pasted. Her react words in the BBC interview were:
"I was not nude, but I was topless but I was not that topless as my upper portion was covered with my hands and it was supposed to be all covered with the tattoos which they did not."
So according to her, body parts covered with arms and skin covered with tatoos is not nude.

I am amazed to read in many earlier letters that one person's act shames a whole nation of 180 million. People it is just an act designed to win a lot of publicity which has happened. It is hard to understand as to why some Pakistanis are upset on what Veena did. There must not be very many who have not seen anything like this before. In a recent survey it was found that pakistanis rank number one among those who watch hard core porn on internet, while her photo may at the most earn a very soft classification even in nudity.. Then there is nothing extraordinary which is shown in this photo, it was just a display of female anatomy possess ed by three and half billion others on this planet. It is better that no mountain is made of the molehill.

Her story has been evolving: 1. Her publicist denied that Veen had shot for FHM. 2. 3. She said in GEO interview was a bold shoot but not a nude shoot. When questioned about 'ISI being painted' she was evasive and simply said picture was morphed. 3. She agreed that she had agreed to the concept of painting ISI on her arms and tried to explain by saying that she was misled that the ISI represented something else. If you hear Kabeer Sharma he denies that it was anything else and that he was just poking fun at the paranoia of some Indians who see ISI's hand in everything. 4. She is saying she was topless but not nude.
You're missing the point people. Its not a question of whether or not she posed in the buff. The point is FHM published the nude photo without her consent. She did not agree to it and it was sleazy of FHM to publish it and expect to get away with it without any repercussions. It brings to light the misogynistic mindset of those responsible.I sincerely hope Veena wins this one.

If the BBC interview was for consumption of the Pakistani public then I have no comments. But otherwise, Veena Malik should know that Indian law on both print and electronic media requires a video cover of all kinds of modelling shoots. And I am talking of normal modelling, not nude or semi-nude modelling. Since Indian law allows nudity on adult entertainment platforms, it is unthinkable to shoot nude models without proper documentation and a video cover. The whole adult entertainment industry would come to its knees if that was the case. Since Veena Malik shot for a lad's magazine, its is guaranteed that the owners have a complete video cover of the shoot, as has been already reported, from 11 am till 4 pm. It is different issue that the video will be available only to the courts (if the case finally reaches a court), but to expect an international adult magazine to shoot a nude model without covering their flanks is absurd. This story will not fly.

I saw the whole interview, and veena malik couldnt defend whatever was being asked to her. she was making desperate attempts to say that what she did was right, and she has no regrets at all. She should be ripped off her nationality, and be left unattended.
