According to Balochistan Levies, the trader identified as Dr Ashok Kumar, was a resident of Hyderabad and was on his way to Naal from Khuzdar in his pickup truck when a group of armed men intercepted and abducted the trader along with his driver and two labourers at gun point.
“The trader had come to finalise a deal about marble in Naal area,” local Levies Official Hamidullah said.
However, the kidnappers released the two labourers, Mohammad Azam and Mohammad Yamin in Wadh. However, driver Azad Khan and Dr Ashok Kumar were still in the kidnapper's custody. Police suspect Dr Kumar has been abducted for ransom and have launched an investigation into the incident.
Khuzdar district has been declared a 'black-spot' by provincial minister for minorities Basant Lal Gulshan. He said that several Hindu traders had been kidnapped for ransom from Khuzdar, Kalat and Nasirabad division recently. Gulshan said that most of the abductees had been released after paying large sums of money as ransom.
The minister had even raised the issue of kidnappings during a session of the Balochistan Assembly but to not avail.

Balochistan is becoming worst than Waziristan.

Going by your “When in Rome, be like a Roman” logic, should all Muslims in Hindustan revert to the Hindu faith ?
No, not at all. Why should they be? They don't get kidnapped for ransom, they are not being beheaded for refusing to convert (remember those two sikhs in NWP), their daughters are not abducted with alarming frequency. But most importantly it is the Indian constitution that does not dicriminate between it's citizens on the basis of their religion.
But I will still hold on to my premise that, “When in Rome, be like a Roman” even in India. Meaning that when in India be an Indian and it applies to all citizens regardless of their religious belief.

When in Rome, be like a Roman. From a purely pragmatic point of view Hindus in Pakistan should convert to Islam to save their life, property and women. It is foolish to stick to a religion which has no future in Pakistan.I know it is not politically correct but everybody knows the truth.
And while it keeps on happenning, the cops are busy picking their noses.
@Anjum
'Truth hurts.'
His bad luck he was born in Pakistan he would have been better off to be born in Congo or in Afghanistan !!
A pakistani biz man is kidnapped by ciminals. He must be freed, that is raher simple. ET please ..... are you a Hindustani sensation news paper ??? But maybe that is needed to stay in business, you may be right !
@khalis: No! they are much more cleaner than Indians, complare.
C there wasn't any need to mention the religion of kidnapped trader...allover the world v c many cases of kidnapping & this is one among them...It shouldn't b hyped only for the fact that he was hindu...even the kidnappers might b unaware of his religion...
Ransom or jizya? These are too targeted and too frequent to be considered random kidnappings.
Say what...I thought the Elder Bughti talked about how minorities are respected and protected in Baluchistan. Surely, the Agencies are responsible for this - or not..!
pakistan dont have any authority to blame India for mistreatment of muslims. they are not clean either
now i will hear that Islam has rights for minorities in the comments. and those who do it are not muslims.
.....and still we do nothing about the Madrassas and their sponsors.
