Going Up: LPG prices jump by Rs1,144 per ton

Domestic price of LPG will be increased by Rs1.5 to Rs2 per kilo, 11.8kg cylinder by Rs23 & 45.4kg cylinder by Rs63.

The international price, Saudi Armco Contract Price, of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has jumped by $13 to $805 per ton for December 2011, raising its import price by Rs1,144 to Rs98,000 per ton in the country, said All Pakistan LPG Distributors Association Chairman Abdul Hadi Khan on Wednesday.


Resultantly, he said, domestic price of LPG will be increased by Rs1.5 to Rs2 per kilo, 11.8 kilo cylinder by Rs23 and 45.4 kg cylinder by Rs63.

Hadi noted that LPG imports have declined by 45% during January to November 2011 due to the rise in international price of LPG and imposition of sales tax at import stage.
