Football: Army, Police win league matches

KARACHI: Army defeated Afghan FC 2-1 in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) while KRL beat Police 2-0. After a dull first half, Army’s Shakeel Yousuf scored the first goal of the match in the 55th minute but Afghan FC’s Muhammad Hanif  equalised in the 75th. However, Sharjeel Masih’s goal in the 89th minute sealed the victory for Army. In the second match of the day, KRL’s Mohammad Qasim scored the opening goal in the 41st minute, while Muhammad Shahid put the result beyond doubt with a goal in the 85th minute.
