What policy?

Letter November 10, 2011
We criticise Imran Khan for not having a ‘clear policy’ but can we live with the status quo?

AUSTIN, TEXAS, USA: With reference to Aatekah Mir-Khan’s article titled “Rallying for change” published on November 10, I would like to refer to the writer’s statement: “I don’t think Imran Khan has a clear policy on anything. I want to know where he wants to take the country and how”.

What is the clear policy of President Asif Ali Zardari or of the PML-N on various issues? Please enlighten us if you know. What is Zardari’s policy on energy and electricity? What of liquefied natural gas and flood money? Why are people still living in flood affected areas months after the flooding? What is their education policy? What is their policy on drones besides condemning them? What are their policies on corruption and obtaining fake degrees to get in power? Or the money they have siphoned from the national treasury every time they came to power in the past? Does anyone know?

Also, how many people approve of the PPP’s last two tenures in government? We criticise Imran Khan for not having a ‘clear policy’ but can we live with the status quo?
