She said this during her address at the University of Western Australia.
Khar said that Pakistan was the biggest sufferer in the war against terrorism and that the demand to do more could not be justified.
She told the audience that Pakistan wants to see a stable and prosperous Afghanistan, which is in the interest of both the countries.
The foreign minister also said that Islamabad wants sustainable relations with all its neighbours, including India.
Speaking about relations with New Delhi, Khar said that Islamabad wishes to resolve all issues through talks, including the long-standing Kashmir Issue.
Khar is accompanying Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani at the second Executive Session of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), which was officially inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II at the Perth Exhibition and Convention Centre.

What do you mean by ground realities . The reality is well exposed before the world when Taliban and their supporters attepted to ca'ture power through arm attake from Lal Masjid and their dream has been smashed throgh RED star operation . Now you have to do more . Any attempt to protect the streategic asset is going to be counter productive . There is no other option before you now and for that sake you have to change your on the Kasmir issue .
@Salman: Then have them stop talking big beyond their means and let someone do the job that actually can. Pakistan has only been sacrificing lives and dignity for pride when this could have been done and over with some time back. By talking big I mean it's awfully funny how people on here are so cocky about taking on the US yet a few militant groups make them cower. They just know that the civilian killings are a load of crap and the US is not actually a threat to the innocent.
@Salman: “Pakistan cannot afford guerrilla warfare for next 5-6 years” but it is OK for you to export such a war to other countries by providing safe havens. Iran, China, Russia, Afghanistan, India, EU, UK and USA all are complaining. Is it not time Pakistan should wake up and smell the coffee. Action of these terrorist has already created hostile environment for investment. Do the right thing, get rid of non state actor and the world will be there for you. Stop dreaming that Pakistan defeated two world superpowers.
Pakistan should learn from India’s handling of terrorist in east Punjab where Police IG K.P.S. Gill was given free hand in crushing Khalistan terrorists. Ms Indira Gandhi paid price for tough decision through her life. Today Punjab is the one of most prosperous province of India. Sorry mam, I forgot you are not Mrs. Indira Gandhi and we should have our expectations from you accordingly.
@Cautious:
May be both is correct sir.
On would think that if your people are getting killed, your government offices are under attack, your politicians are living in mortal fear, and you people cannot carry on their daily lives without fear of death, isn't this not be the ground reality?
If this is the ground reality, wouldn't you take every action possible with all the power and force you got? This is what rest of the world cannot comprehend.
Mr Obama: We are now more interested in having a 'relationship' with China India Iran and Russia, so please don't think we will die without you. Thanks :D
The ground reality is that we still havent achieved success with all the innocent lives and army personnel killed in the hands of these terrorist. Insteat of crying wolf, The Govt. and the Army shouls sincerely fight the terrorist and its off shoots to bring stability to Pakistan, Sri Lanka with its limited resources can do it. Why cant you. Pakistan comes across as a begger state and an excuse maker and this is because YOU dont know recognize the reality
She is right in some way. The people in that part of the world has lived like this forever and suddenly one day yankees lands into their backyard and orders you to change everything ....is just not so possible and Pakistan cannot afford guerrilla warfare for next 5-6 years, economy is already into shambles and people are frustrated over dismal security issues in the country. Pakistan and US has to some how find a way to negotiate with these Talibans for give and take scenario where US has to be a bit less arrogant in their demand. Pakistan on the other hand, also should pressurized these Talibans to reduce their hostile attitude at the negotiation table or get ready to face the music from both the sides.
Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar said that the US demand from Pakistan to “do more” in the fight against terrorism is against ground realities . What's that really mean. Does that mean that Pakistan doesn't have the military might to take on the Taliban or does that mean that Pakistan doesn't have the political will to take on the Taliban - maybe both? Pakistan always uses it's casualties as "proof" of it's commitment to the war on terror - but I would argue that most of casualties are not the result of combat but the result of your not taking the offensive.
@ hindustan ki shakti then y states is approacing taliban for the talks on table? have u ever imagined the innocent lives wasted in these blind attacks?
Pakistan has suffered the most in the war against terror - I agree. But it is because there are more terrorists in Pakistan than anywhere else in the world. Clear them out and there won't be any more suffering. Let us not stick our heads in the sand anymore - see the reality and act. It will have maximum benefit to Pakistan rather than USA.
