The final list of ranked universities will be used to gauge the status of higher education in Pakistan and will be used to recommend improvements for higher educational institutions, said a statement issued by Rozee.
One of the criteria in ranking that the HEC considers is post-commencement employability. With over a quarter of Pakistan’s online population visiting Rozee annually, and over 2.2 million registered professionals and over 40,000 employers posting available jobs, the portal is sharing relevant information, specifically employment within the various sectors with the HEC free of cost.
This data will be used by the HEC to gain a comprehensive picture of the state of higher education and to rank the Pakistani universities accordingly.
Monis Rahman, CEO of Rozee.pk said, “as Pakistan’s most powerful talent matching platform, Rozee has access to data spanning millions of records. We strongly believe in the importance of higher education in helping secure better employment opportunities and are happy to help a national institution like HEC on a project of such national significance.”
Dr S Sohail H Naqvi, executive director at the Higher Education Commission, added that, “we at the HEC aim to bring Pakistan’s universities at par with international standards. The HEC is striving to build the capacity of higher education to contribute effectively in national development as well as to reflect internationally in competitive Higher Education standards.”

This is impressive!
Our universities are still producing job seekers. I am surprise to see one local university television ad in which they where telling that their students get nice jobs so join xyz university. In which direction we are moving do we need more job seekers or entrepreneurs. I think entrepreneurs.
waooo!! Now employment sites will grade universities or even help in this process. I think, students should have the right to do so. :)
The employment related statistics would be very useful. As parents we can then guide our children better as to which university is best for employment or research etc.
This is great! Will external degrees also be considered while ranking? Talking about the University Of London external system which offers BSc and Law programs in Pakistan at local institutions ; Lecole, Szabist and Jinnah University
This is another great example how Online World and "digital" can help the national institutions. I hope more start-ups like Rozee.pk launch, so that it brings revolution in each and every industry of Pakistan.
