Heavy cache of weapons seized in Peshawar

On searching vehicle, police finds heavy cache of weapons in hidden cavities in the car.

Police foiled a terrorist attempt to smuggle a vehicle loaded with weapons in Peshawar on Tuesday.

According to the details, Chamkani police seized the car at the Tarnap checkpost after receiving information about the car. During the search of the vehicle, the police found a heavy cache of weapons concealed in hidden cavities in the car.

According to the SHO of the Chamkani police station, the driver Imran has been taking into custody and he was attempting to smuggle the weapons and ammunition from Bara to Punjab.

The weapons include six Kalashnikov rifles, one shot-gun and 50 pistols. The police have launched an investigation into the matter and the suspect is being interrogated.

This is the second attempt of the Chamkani police in two days at successfully recovering arms and ammunition from suspected terrorists in Peshawar.

6 kalashnikovs is being described as a heavy cache of arms? This might be an appropriate description is the place in question was Paris where it is totally rare for civilians to have arms but not for Peshawar where people proudly say 'Asla mera zevar hai' and aerial firing even happens at weddings and celebrations.
