Capital punishment: 3 men sentenced to death for murder

Men demanded ransom of Rs 250,000 for boy's release and killed him when they did not receive money on time.

SARGODHA: The Anti-Terrorist court special judge Mian Anwar Nazir sentenced three men to death on Saturday. According to the prosecution, Johrabad residents brothers Amar Hayat, Nasir Hayat and Riffat Hahat had kidnapped a six-year-old boy Arsalan three months ago.

The three men demanded a ransom of Rs 250,000 for his release and killed the boy when they did not receive the money on time. The court sentenced the brothers for abduction and murder and also pronounced a fine of Rs 2,000,000. The accused have also been sentenced to 21-years imprisonment.
