Jhang police has recovered an abducted girl, Nasreen, 25, on the orders of the Session Court after two months of her abduction.
According to officials, Nasreen’s brother Nasir eloped with Mauza Uliyana resident Aalam Sher’s daughter. The couple married against their parents wishes and the girl’s father swore retribution.
Aalam Sher and five of his accomplices abducted 25-year-old Nasreen two months ago and took her to an unknown locality where she was gang raped and tortured.
Sher and his accomplices also forced Nasreen to sign a nikah nama. Nasreen’s relatives approached the police and told them about the case begging immediate recovery of the girl but police officials were initially reluctant. Nasreen’s relatives then moved an application in the court before District and Session judge in Jhang for her recovery. After hearing the applications, police officials began investigating the case.
“The girl was locked up in a room and she had been brutally beaten.
She had been raped repeatedly and a medical test is being conducted,” inspector Javed said.
Nasreen was produced before the court on Friday and said that she had been made to pay for her brother’s marriage. “They made me sign a fake nikah nama and are trying to black mail me with it. I hope that the court disregards the document,” she said. The court ordered the immediate arrest of the accused.
The name of the victim has been changed to protect her identity

@Sahil: Then come back & take responsibility. Talk is cheap. Very elitist attitude.
This was and will remain culture of that part of the country. Media has exposed this culture now. It needs to make proper laws, with proper system of enforcement. Death penalty should be the minimum punishment for such crimes
Sentences and punishments for Rape must be tightened, only them will someone think twice.
