We saw Akon trying to be desi with the song Chammak Challo and now we have two local boys attempting to be something they are definitely not good at.
Nouman Khalid, referred to as the Pitbull of Pakistan by some listener on YouTube, featuring a rapper who prefers to be known as Osama Com Laude, released his song called Desi Thumka – which has some 'thumkas' but definitely nothing 'desi' in it.
Laude raps in English, while Khalid sings in Punjabi to a typical Punjabi beat with flashes of young women dressed in western attires wearing red lipstick, dancing.
The 23,247 views, 213 likes and 112 comments (with most of them in praise of the song) on the video shows that either Pakistanis have been terribly devoid of music lately or music lovers’ tastes have become a little too sour.

Maybe its time that we appreciate if someone tries to create something original which is also fun to listen to. A critics job is not only to ridicule but also to appreciate an innovation.
I think the problem this author faces is the fact that the so called "AKON" singing chammak challo is a "Zero" in front of this song and Nouman tends to compete with most of these Indian singers . I bet this author is afraid of another pakistani dominating the Indian Industry like Rahet , Atif and Ali. The song is a good effort and will give a tough time to indian music.. ShAnI did check out the song and to be honest Noman its not as good as I was expecting. I did stop the song half way through. Nothing creative about this song. The dance is really shabby. Even your and OCL moves are typical. And what is Osama Com Laude, good when will people try to be little more original. :-) If you want to be liked then be original in your music and name. There is no comparison to Pitbull and Noman. Pitbull has different voice and style, Noman has different. But I do say Good Luck to Noman/OCL for future songs.
And please dont give silly comments regarding Pakistan is in the position that its now. Actaully if someone doesnt like the song let him/her speak. If you like it then please go ahead and share your thoughts. The person who wrote this article is judging the music and your judging why Pakistan is in this position :-)

Ema Anis has all the rights to criticize a song/video if she/he doesn't likes it & no matter how many Likes this video will get, couple of dislikes r still gonna be a hint to improve my music.. & about being referred as Pakistani Pitbull, so I would say yes I love his sense of dressing & style but I wanted to show our Pakistani music lovers something different in my own way, just for a change.. & they say a change is always good.. You should not be afraid to try something new & that's exactly what Nouman Khalid has exemplified by releasing this rocking video in Pakistan. he has taken a risk & it will pay off because Desi Thumka is full of energy. I see new hopes for Pakistani musical industry from this video.This author is wrong in so many levels, I have only one request, please let the people of pakistan Grow by appreciating good work.
This is why Pakistan can never succeed cause of negative people like yourself who can't see others succeed or do well. Take the song/video for what it is, a fun, catchy, mainstream dance number. Overanalyzing yet a complete idiot this person is, whoever wrote it.
Woooo! wait a sec Who are you to say we got no music taste. If someone is making music and people like then why should we judge. Nouman Khalid is no pitbull. But if you look it that way, pitbulls music aint to "critically classy" but people love it.
