Law & Order: Motorway Police recover four cars, arrest suspects

The suspects and the vehicles were handed over to local authorities for further action.

Tense chases between Motorway Police and car thieves between Islamabad and Lahore resulted in the recovery of four cars and three arrests, police said on Tuesday.


The police were alerted of a stolen Suzuki Cultus by a tracker company. The vehicle was later spotted on GT Road near Okara, where it was intercepted by the police, who arrested the suspects.

In a related incident, Lahore police alerted the Motorway Police about a white Toyota Corolla, snatched at gunpoint; commandos successfully retrieved the vehicle and made two arrests, police said.

Rawalpindi Police informed the Motorway Police of a stolen Honda Civic; even though the car was recovered, the thief escaped after hopping the motorway fence.

In the fourth incident, Sheikhupura Police informed the Motorway Police about a Honda Civic which lead to an aggressive chase between commandos and the car thief. The car was successfully recovered after being found abandoned on the motorway.

The suspects and the vehicles were handed over to local authorities for further action.
