Special education initiative: Disabled people’s needs to be assessed

Mutafain Kazmi says on Sunday that there is no proper record of the disabled in the country and a survey will help.

ISLAMABAD: The Directorate General of Special Education is negotiating with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for conducting a fresh survey of people with disabilities in the country.

Director General Special Education Mutafain Kazmi said on Sunday that there is no proper record of the disabled in the country and a survey will help in proper allocation of resources for them. He added that the number of people with disabilities has increased after the earthquake and other calamities in different parts of the country.
