Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are reportedly dealing with fresh legal and financial complications following the resolution of their highly publicised legal fight with Justin Baldoni.
According to a report, the couple is now facing issues tied to renovation work on their upstate New York estate after contractors allegedly filed multiple mechanic’s liens claiming unpaid balances for construction services.
The reported dispute comes shortly after Lively and Baldoni settled their long-running It Ends With Us legal conflict earlier this month. The controversy began after Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and retaliation connected to the production of the 2024 film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel. Baldoni denied the allegations and later countersued Lively, Reynolds and others for defamation and related claims.
Many of the claims from both sides were ultimately dismissed before the remaining issues were resolved through a settlement reached shortly before trial.
The new report alleges that contractors involved in renovations on the couple’s property are seeking more than $2 million combined for allegedly unpaid labour and construction work. Neither Lively nor Reynolds has publicly addressed the claims.
Despite the ongoing scrutiny, Lively has recently returned to public events, including the 2026 Met Gala and high-profile fashion appearances, as reports continue to circulate about her planned Hollywood comeback following the settlement.
