Dumpers to be fitted with cameras

DIG Traffic has directed to install front and rear cameras in the vehicles to effectively enforce traffic laws and determine the causes of potential accidents.

DIG Traffic met with a delegation of the Goods Carrier Association on Wednesday to discuss measures to prevent accidents involving dumper trucks. According to a traffic police spokesperson, the installation of cameras will enable monitoring of drivers. The footage should be kept for at least 15 days, and the city traffic police should be provided with live and recorded footage, as well as tracker data.
