British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jane Marriott, met with Federal Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari to discuss Pakistan's energy sector reforms and bilateral cooperation, as per a statement released on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Leghari highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the government to improve efficiency in the power sector, along with measures aimed at reducing electricity prices for both domestic and industrial consumers. He also briefed the high commissioner on the ongoing privatisation process of electricity distribution companies.
Commending the government's energy sector reforms, the British high commissioner reaffirmed the UK's commitment to enhancing cooperation in this field.
